Robi is a 20-year vet who found his footing first as a singer, theater actor and on-cam talent, stepped into the spotlight as a recording artist with his band, the AKAfellas, made the jump to radio broadcaster and events host, then migrated over to voice acting when he realized it was the one job that required the least amount of self-maintenance. 60 pounds later, he’s happily gone full time (and full-bodied). He got his big break as continuity announcer of Nickelodeon Philippines, a position he’s proudly held for 14 years and counting. Since then, he’s found a lot of success doing commercial and corporate work for top international brands, but has dabbled in everything from dubbing for cartoons, TV series and movies, to radio and TV imaging, and live event VO. A massive voice over geek, he’s invested heavily in his education over the years and continues to train under famous US directors, coaches and other talents at the Global Voice Acting Academy. He is also a fresh new member of the World-Voices Organization. He founded the first Philippine association for voice talents, VocAlliance, which aims to unify the voice over industry in his country, teach best practices and promote professionalism. He is also currently on the board of the Advertising Services Association of the Philippines where he handles the talent sector. His biggest dream is to give back to the industry he loves so much in whatever way he can.
